The proposal submitted by Grumman was for a two-seat, variable geometry aircraft that would be capable of meeting US Navy requirements for high performance and long range. The aircraft is currently neck deep in development and we expect it to be released later this year.The AIM-54 Phoenix missile was extremely deadly and could hit targets at around 100 miles from the launch aircraft.
